I headed north to the boogie down Bronx last night for the best art opening (!) at the Bronx River Art Center. Rompe Puesto, a phrase which loosely translates into "breaking ground," was a one-night performance event in which one-of-a-kind piñatas were created by participating artists, displayed and deconstructed on-site, spilling out the special contents of each piece. After a couple glasses of wine, I personally obliterated one "N" shaped creation that spewed glitter, candy and little square pieces of paper. What a great way to start a new year.

Frenzy.
