MMM MISSONI

I'm certifiably in lust over Kenneth Anger's new film made to accompany Missoni's Fall/Winter 2010/11 collection. It feels like an elegant version of the grittiest art films from the 60s and 70s. Think Barbara Hammer's silent Multiple Orgasm from 1976, with less vagina and more Margherita Missoni twirling around in a blonde wig. However, the sparkly, scintillating visuals of Anger's fashion film matches the Hollywood ennui of one of his best earlier pieces, Puce Moment, where beaded gowns, coral lipstick and emerald perfume bottles take center stage.
